Why would you like to serve on the PSC?

I would like to use my gifts to serve my congregation toward finding a new full time pastor to shepherd our church in the coming years. I feel that it is important to help find the right match since our church has suffered turmoil throughout the past year and a half, and we need to move on with a fresh opportunity to grow and serve in our community.

What spiritual gifts would you be bringing to the PSC?

Teaching, Service, and Faith (also encouragement and organizational skills)

How have you served (or are serving) at Westtown?

Volunteering for various positions within our annual Vacation Bible School, previous Sports Camp, previous Kiosk check in for Kidstown, continuous service for Operation Christmas Child shoebox campaigns, various small committees for our Women’s Retreats, and participating in Small Group memberships.

How are you serving Christ’s Kingdom outside of Westtown?

I pray daily to be a beacon of God’s love to the children that I teach in Elementary School. I also encourage my friends with faith based messages, and pray for their faith to continue to grow.

Are you willing to commit your time and attention to the PSC, even if it takes a year or two?

Yes

Have you ever served on a PSC before?

No

Are you willing to travel on weekends to visit churches of the finalists?

Yes

Do you believe that the Bible is infallible as it is the inspired Word of God?

Yes

Do you admit that you are a sinner, totally dependent on the atoning work of Jesus Christ for you salvation?

Yes

Are you willing to perform the duties of the PSC to represent the interests of Westtown Church and its members according to the Presbyterian Church in America’s Book of Church Order (PCA-BCO)?

Yes

Summarize your prayer life:

I pray daily to thank God for all of the many blessings that I have consistently received. With that being said, I also pray that I might share God’s love with others through my daily interactions; I strive daily to exemplify the Fruits of the Spirit.

Summarize your spiritual journey in Christ:

I was born in Tampa and grew up within First Baptist Church, and publicly accepted Christ as my savior at roughly 12 years of age. Although I did stray during college years, I joined Palma Ceia Presbyterian in South Tampa as a young adult and was a member there until we moved to this side of Hillsborough County. At that time, we joined Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church since it was much closer to our new neighborhood, and lead a Mother’s Bible Study group there. Sometime later, we were invited by Kerry Barrow to visit Westtown Church, before the new building was built, and became members not long after the building was completed. I have long believed that I have been blessed because God chose me, forgave me, loved me, and saved me.

Is there anything else that you wish to share with the congregation about your desire to serve on the PSC?

Thank you for your kind consideration.
