Why would you like to serve on the PSC?

I would be honored to play a part in bringing the next pastor God has planned for Westtown. I have attended multiple PCA churches with a wide variety of different pastor styles and believe that experience will help me evaluate and differentiate the candidates.

What spiritual gifts would you be bringing to the PSC?

Gifts of serving and helping, along with administration.

How have you served (or are serving) at Westtown?

Currently serving on the audio/visual team, primarily assisting with broadcast. While I was happy to join the team to serve the church in this capacity during COVID-19, it has been such a personal blessing.

How are you serving Christ’s Kingdom outside of Westtown?

Participating in a BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) bible study. No other commitments.

Are you willing to commit your time and attention to the PSC, even if it takes a year or two?

Yes

Have you ever served on a PSC before?

No

Are you willing to travel on weekends to visit churches of the finalists?

Yes

Do you believe that the Bible is infallible as it is the inspired Word of God?

Yes

Do you admit that you are a sinner, totally dependent on the atoning work of Jesus Christ for you salvation?

Yes

Are you willing to perform the duties of the PSC to represent the interests of Westtown Church and its members according to the Presbyterian Church in America’s Book of Church Order (PCA-BCO)?

Yes

Summarize your prayer life:

I seek to spend time daily in God’s Word and prayer. Prayer time can ebb and flow with life demands but I attempt to pray daily and lift up my wife and children, our family, our church, our community and our country in complete reliance on God.

Summarize your spiritual journey in Christ:

I grew up in the church and accepted Christ when I was 12 years old. My faith and knowledge grew a lot during my college years at Taylor University, a Christian non-denominational college where I was exposed to many other styles and denominations. After college I began attending a PCA church where I was introduced to reformed theology and again it challenged my understanding. But wrestling through that, it caused my faith to grow and develop a greater realization of God’s sovereignty and immense grace. I am saved by Christ alone, through faith in Jesus Christ, my only hope for salvation. Since then, I continue to look for ways to serve the church and have served as a deacon at two previous churches.

Is there anything else that you wish to share with the congregation about your desire to serve on the PSC?

No.
